Vendini Inc. an event ticketing company nationwide was hacked in late March, they relay that the criminals may have accessed “... personal information, such as name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and credit card numbers and expiration dates that belong to our consumer-patrons.” Vendini provides box-office and online ticketing services to hundreds of Vendini members, which include tour, casino, sports, arts, and entertainment venues and promoters across the U.S. and Canada.
If you have used your card with this vendor please keep an eye on your account or come into the credit union for a new card. Vendini will not contact you for information so as usual do not give out any information about your account or card numbers. Internet banking is the best way to monitor your account.

Be cautious of any emails that have text like the email below.
"Dear valued client ,
Your credit card have been suspended after we noticed some unusual activities on it.
Somebody was trying to use your card on purchasing some items on eBay.
For your protection, we have suspended it. In order to activate it, Click Here and follow the instructions.
Note: If not done by 03-02-2013 we will have to suspend it for life to avoid any illegal purchasing made by other frauders.
We appreciate your help in this case.

If your card has been scammed you will get a call from
1-866-273-2167 on behalf of Unified People's Federal Credit Union.
The automated call will then verify transactions, not your card information. Be sure to answer these calls, as your card can be blocked for fraud.
If you notice suspicious activity, you should alert your financial institution and your local law enforcement. |
